I chose to create my pencil drawing in the shape of an umbrella because I've always liked to draw umbrellas and it was something I could draw well. I also chose to draw a pencil because I thought it would be an easy object to outline and fill with pencils. I thought the final piece of this project would end up looking very cool. I did face a few problems during the creation of this project, it took a very long time to complete. I should have made some of the pencils longer and a little wider so I wouldn't have so many pencils to color. I also would have changed how small some of the pencils were because the effect of the shading doesn't show up as well when the pencil is so tiny. Overall, I am satisfied with this piece of art work. I feel as if this is my best creation out of the entire 18 weeks of being in this class. I put a lot of time and work into this and it paid off.
